Preview of Innovation@50+ LivePitch : The Finalists

AARP’s 6th Annual LivePitch event is just around the corner, and we here at Longevity Network are going to dedicate these next four weeks to previewing everything to look forward to at Innovation@50+: the finalists, judges, keynote speakers and more.

We begin today with a preview of the most exciting part: the contestants.

Last week, AARP announced the 10 startups chosen as the Caregiving Health Technology finalists for their 6th Annual LivePitch event, held this year in Mountain View, CA.  (They also announced 10 finalists for a new category added this year, Financial Technology).

Beginning at 1:25 pm PST on April 12th, these chosen caregiving health tech startups will have three minutes on stage to pitch their business plans to Industry Expert Judges, including some venture capitalists and angel investors, along with–notably–around 100  AARP members who provide real-time feedback as potential Consumers / End Users.

“This year’s pool of applicants was as strong as any in the previous five years…,” said Jody Holtzman, senior vice president of Market Innovation for AARP. “The consistently solid interest in our pitch program is exciting, as we work to place consumers at the center of the innovation. We look forward to a robust and rigorous competition among the [10 Caregiving Health Technology] companies in April.”
